Dear friendly players of World of Minecraft,
The time has come for me to leave this community, I choose now instead of any other time in the past as it seems that really no one welcomes me here anymore.
I started my day reading a message from MrSnowGlobe addressed to Uplusion23 and myself, stating that due to changes in the staff policy, we were no longer needed. This seemed strange to me, as Uplusion and I were the only ones who ever do anything on the forums. At which point someone like Jupiter or snow will complain that they do lots, but this site actually keeps a log of how often people are online, and you two really don't do much at all.
After receiving this message, I checked around with the staff to see if anyone knew what was going on, no one seemed to have any idea, when MrSnowGlobe finally got online I asked him and got told maybe 7 different reasons over the course of a few hours as to why I was removed.
Apparently he doesn't trust me enough to moderate the forums, but up to last week was still trying to make me admin on the server. He seems to not trust me because I saw some of the staff saying they hated Skyara, so I told this to sky, and this (apparently) almost destroyed the whole community.
So then from other people talking to Snow he claimed that he had a conversation with 6 other people about this and they all agreed with him, so far I have managed to contact 4 of them and they all say he was lying.
Next snow claimed that he was leaving the community, and didn't want to leave me in my forum moderating position when he was gone. I have since found out that he is not leaving the community at all.
He (once again) asked me what I thought he could do to improve, and I listed a load of things to him for the 4th time, but I doubt he will listen to any of them.
I have also found out that quite a few of the staff do agree with him that I am no longer needed, or that they don't like me having my position just because I am not staff on the servers too, to those staff, I don't know what I did to offend any of you, I thought we were friends.
According to snow's new system, all staff on the servers will also be staff on the forums, which I can tell you won't work out well. I hope you are all happy with my position.
So I have now worked out that the only real reason that I have been demoted, is that Snow doesn't like me.
End of rant, happy memories time.
I remember back on realms and on moujave and Triddin's SMP server, when grief was a rare event, the whole server would get involved in helping someone fix stuff (I think Skybreaker remembers that one :P), and you wouldn't need 15 members of staff to look at a bit of air to work out that there should be a block there.
I was first promoted to Forum Moderator by moujave on my birthday in 2011 (complete coincidence about when he did it), that was almost 2 years ago now, and I have truly loved my time spent on this forum. In the past 2 years I have read almost every single comment posted here, and I enjoy doing so, many things have been learned, and many friends made. I have found that moderating this site has been one of the few things that would calm me down quite nicely if I was ever angry or annoyed.
Back at that time, I thought that I would be here forever. I wish realms was still running, because that always had a much better atmosphere than the current server does. But of course, people eventually lost interest in minecraft classic. And due to Mojang not making an easy way for Triddin to keep his custom plugins up to date, the SMP server linked to realms also died.
Since the fall of that SMP server, I was eventually promoted to community manager here and on Realms. And since the fall of Realms, H4X has slowly added permissions to me here until I could actually keep the site quite well organised.
But I guess now that I am not wanted here, I shall go find somewhere else to call my home. At the moment I am thinking of heading over to moujave's community. I'll post a link to it in the Non-World of Minecraft servers section of this site if anyone else wants to go look there as well.
H4X is pretty much the only one of the staff that I haven't managed to talk to about today's events, and seeing as snow is messing everything up, H4X is the only one who can fix it, so the only thing that could make me return is some serious remodeling from him.
I doubt that I will see most of you again, so have a nice life.

Seeing as no one else in my team, and none of the staff seem to be able to work out how my redstone works, good luck seeing that arena there. And from talking to many people, I have no trouble seeing that the players understand my role, it is the staff who seem inable to see my worth.

I actually have not had a working system, and taken tripts to my local library to help moderate World of Minecraft. My online time overall has dropped, but I log in at least twice a day to see if there are any spamm accounts, bad posts, or users in need of assistance. I guess this will all just save me from walking to the library. As Jak stated, Server Moderators and Forum Moderators are very different and moderate very different things. I myself have my own servers, and my Server staff are not Forum staff. I tried it once, and it resulted in random off-topic posts, and they do not know how to compose a thorough message as they moderate a game, and not a forum.
For my happy moments, I remember teaming up with Jak for hours every day, working in realms, on things such as some bases, random builds, and even a natural landscape we had. We would jump on, and around 7-15 people would greet us, and help us in projects and such. I'll always miss those days. Classic I believe is much more exciting than the SMP servers. Thank you all for your kindness and fun on this server network. I loved every minute I had.

Jak, you were awesome. All the staff that said that u weren't needed don't know anything about forum moderation. You and uplusion were the only forum staff that do ANYTHING. You will be deeply missed.

Remember the day when clans were first added to realms, and we both made one and had like 20 members, after agreeing that we would be in the same clan, then worked out that there was no way to join them. That has to go on my list of funnyest times :P

Well then guessing the Fallout is acually happing. So I guess I sould jump out of the hole as well, but Jak thank you and uplusion for all the hard work you guys did for this fourm and both classic and SMP... I hate to see ya go :l
Guess I'll throw a happy moment in for the lol's :)
My favorite moment was when I joined the Classic server for the first time and would scream and yell about how I couldn't figure the client out and when I finally did.. Well lets just say it's funny to look back on xD
As for SMP when the guy skyattack's town was greifed by someone who was made about getting kicked out of town we all got together to fix up the town because the community was a lot closer back then :l

Fixing up that town is one of the things on World of Minecraft that I remember the best, and that must have been a long long time ago, cause that was before I was even forum mod.

WoM is going straight downhill. I 100% agree with Jak and Upllusion on this one. Honestly, he does the most of anything. And all of a sudden he is not needed? I will not continue this any further but i remember when World of Minecraft was a much, much better community then this and now it is going straight downhill.

I will be honest, I do miss the old original Realms and SMP:Realms alot...it really was a close and friendly community. You could always depend on people to help you out or even just mess around with and there wasn't a HUGE need for staff on SMP (Classic on the other hand.... >.> ;D)
But I will miss you lots Jak <3 I hopes everything is figured out and you can come back one day :(

Snow is stepping down from manager position. He isn't really leaving, but you'll see him a lot less. You've been intentionally causing trouble for a long time now. If it was up to me, you'd of been demoted a long time ago.

Also, the fact that he isn't leaving doesn't change the fact that he told the whole irc channel that he is when people were asking what had happened.

I hate to say it, but I agree. Fully. I remember when I joined in March 2012, everyone, and I mean everyone, was nice. When I finally got premium I moved over to World of Minecraft smp, and I was welcomed. Everyone at the time was nice. Then realms went down, and we lost close to 50% of our population. I took an 8 month break, making 1 visit or 2, and on the first, I realized the map had been reset. I know it was corrupted, but I think that made a lot of people mad. my second visit, the only person I knew was Jup, and he didn't remember me. When I finally came back, the only person I knew was Shazty! Eventually, I recognized maybe, 5-10 people, but that's about it. Since we have staff leaving their positions, and now Jak, the server downfall looms. Jak, you're the voice of World of Minecraft, we need you.

I wouldn't take it too personal Jak. Or it can become a big drama ordeal in which would result in a greater loss of World of Minecraft players.
It is true that a lot of "vintage" players, or players that have been here since Realms, have taken a leave. But people need to get along with their lives. Migration from one minecraft community to another is a completely different story.

hum i wonder how long till this get locked also Jak never caused any problems, he was solving problems that was caused by others.
he always has been and i always said that the forums should have its own staff, SMP/PVP/CMP/Hub/Lobby and what ever else it will be have its own staff and the IRC have its own staff and each and every system is 100% completely different.
Guess now we just got to wait and see what happens to World of Minecraft now

Well I heard earlier that they are suppose to keep there lips sealed and let it all die out.
But another thing I wanted to touch on was that @Combz a lot of the vintage players have hopped to another community I know I've been to serveral communitys since the first reset, I haven't been happy with a server since the first reset and the flood of people when classic started to die.

Well jak, I guess this is my turn for a goodbye. I knew you better in Realms, but once that Realms got shut down, I didn't play much becuse, well you know, all the vintage World of Minecraft players started to leave and move along. I am sad to hear that you, as well, are moving along. I feel bad that I had very little knowledge of your importance on this Forum, and I just want to make sure I say thank you.
I hope to be able to keep in touch with you some time, so you can just look me up on Steam (GorakkHowk) or something.... If you do move to another community that happen to have the old Realms players, please inform me of the community and servers :D

Jak we all appreciate you and I am sorry that you feel that World of Minecraft is a hostile community now. I will deepl miss you, as I think of you as one fo the faces of World of Minecraft. I think you do have a big job on the forums and are worth keeping around. Will you not stay even until your arena is put in the hub?
