Java space error

The client used to work for me, until more recently. I've updated everything, but when I try to run the client, it spits up this error after saying it loads most of the files.
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
ERROR: Failed to run minecraft
Then it just doesn't load up minecraft.jar, and says press any key to exit... Does anyone know how to solve this? I can post a picture of the window if it helps.

Alright.. I would say to redownload everything. Client, Java, the .jar.
I've had several people have problems with this when something else was running java at the same time too. Just try closing stuff out and redownloading, tell me what you get by private message please.
