So I decided to create a completed texture pack for 1.7.9 since many of the 256 x 256 texture packs are incomplete or have not been updated in a long time. I have compiled textures from a few texture packs as well as done some of my own to finish up those that were missing or did not fit in the style. I still have a few things I am working on such as minor cleanup and finishing the Painting textures. Those will be done soon.

About 90% of the work was pulled from these 3 packs and they deserve the credit for the amazing work that they have done. They are,

LBphoto-realism 256, this is what the pack is built off of.

Ravands256, missing things such as item looks and flowers.

Intermacgod modern realistic, amazing work on creatures and skins.

Raldadar, Anything missing from the packs

The Download link below will take you to mediafire to download the texture pack. You have to type in the captcha code and click authorize download in order for the download to start. You do not want to click on anything else since I have no idea what it will take you to.

If you wish to have painting textures included in the texture pack use the following download instead of the one above.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/ocs3x367s9u0kku/Raldadar's_Custom_Texturepack_v-1.7.10.zip

I will give you fair warning it is a very big pack due to the amount of textures changed so you will need to allocate more ram as well as when you load minecraft it will take about 30 seconds to a minute to load. You will also need a program called MCpatcher to use HD textures. If you already use a different program such as optifine I am sure it will work. If someone tries it if you could let me know so I can update the post.

Here are instructions on how to install this pack

1.       Download the Resource pack

http://www.mediafire.com/download/qiub3a1xhvdqeu4/Raldadar%27s+Custom+Texturepack+v-1.7.9.zip#39;s_Custom_Texturepack_v-1.7.9.zip

2.       Download MCpatcher from this thread.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/1226351-14w11b-1-7-10-1-7-2-1-6-4-and-earlier-update-6-27

3.       Run MCpatcher and select any options you wish to include such as better glass, etc. The default settings will work fine though.

4.       Click Patch and wait for it to modify the Jar file. You have to run minecraft at least once before you can run mcpatcher so it has a file to edit.

5.       Run Minecraft.exe and in the bottom left change the profile to MCpatcher and press play. This may be a good time to allocate more ram if you have not done so. See this tutorial video on how to do so.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c16piXD1hYc

6.       Once you are at the main menu select Options then Resource packs. Once in the Resource pack location at the bottom select Open Resource pack folder . An explorer window will open and this is where you will place the Raldadar’s Texture pack Zip file.

7.       Once the pack has been placed in the folder exit out of that windows and select the Pack in minecraft. It will take about 30 seconds to a minute to load everything.

8.       Try it out and let me know what you think. Good or bad.

Once again if you like the textures please check out the 3 packs I posted above by searching in google for them. They are amazing pieces of work.

Edited for Mac MC patcher link and updated links

Edited to add 1.7.10 edit for paintings.

Changed MCPatcher links to

Changed MCPatcher links to the MCPatcher forum thread on the official Minecraft forum because nobody wants to download software without knowing what it actually does.
