Hello all!
My friend and I currently host a beta server that has been getting quite a bit of players lately. They say that they love the server, its ideas, plugins and worlds. It is currently hosted on a heavy duty home computer with awesome specs and such but... it is not a 24/7 dedicated server. We have created our own forums and the server is already fully functional and formated (Craftbukkit) and it includes NPCs, currency, towns, shops and more!
The only problem is the 24/7 dedicated part. This wouldn't be a big problem if it was just a small server for exclusive friends and such but now people are joining from other parts of the country.
If you have a computer at home that you don't use and can keep running 24/7 or know of someone who does, please contact me through pm or the server email
. The computer should be able to run a craftbukkit server with 20ish plugins and 20ish people (around 1G of ram). Mysql support would be fantastic but it works without it...
We don't have much to offer but we are not looking for any profit from the server so you will receive 100% of the donations and such. You will obviously be an admin on the server.

Thanks for posting, I understand that it is had to find someone to host a server for free and some may even say its unreasonable but I just want a server where everyone can just play for free without costing us. I dont want to start charging people to join the server and such :)

I can't give you free, but you could get a $60 a year VPS: tinyvps.com... But that is just about the cheapest that you will get. Hope that helps! :)
