What does "Enhanced Dynamic DNS" even mean?

DNS points an IP address to a domain. If connecting to a URL, DNS servers reconnect you to 111.111.111 (Example ip) and what do you know, it all happens in the background- like magic!

Does it cost?

Of course not! However you can do up to only 50 DNS connections maximum. You can always pay to get more than 50, however you probably will not need to.

Is it secure?

This program does not access any files stored on your server -- in fact it can't. All it does is redirect any incoming players to your ip.

Does it make my server lag?

Similar to the answer before Enhanced Dynamic DNS does not modify anything in your server, thus it does not make it laggy in any way. Even connection time to the server seems to stay the same.

I am not a server owner.. How could I use this tool?

Many people use this tool to simply connect to some of their favorite server. For an example I really like 321.432.244.455:24421, however I can't always remember that so I use this tool to make it minecraftserver.noip.com, which I can remember much better.

How to use:

Requirements:

-A PC

-A good(ish) pc, because this program is new and may not work on all computers.

1. Open up Enhanced Dynamic DNS on your computer.

2. Enter in your server IP adress (eg 111.111.111).

3. If your server has a port, be sure to enter that in next to it.

4. Now you can choose your address you want users to connect to, for an example you can put in DiamondCraft, in the box and select from a few hosts. It will end up looking something like DiamondCraft.noip.com.

5. If the URL is taken, then you will be notified and asked to choose another.

6. Once you are done, be sure to press Redirect, which will send the information you imported to our servers.
