Minecraft doesn't work!

When i try to play minecraft, it LAGGS! Does the minecraft server have problems or something? I can't play minecraft and that annoys me.

Problem too when i try to access the website it takes ages, Go to the website again & do the following steps
(1) Go to internet options and uncheck the delete browsing history on exit
(2) Then go to Minecraft.net and wait a while for it to load the page
(3) Done!
