Hey all,

I'm getting an annoying Timeout window whenever I try connecting to my server with World of Minecraft. It says:

"Minecraft.net returned incomplete server details.

Missing: Server IP, Server Port, Passcode, User

Do you wish to retry or quit?"

I host with fCraft and have never had an issue with the server software. I'm able to connect to other servers via World of Minecraft, and I'm still able to connect to my own server if I play in a browser, yet for some reason I can't access it through World of Minecraft. What's causing this? Does anybody know?

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

@likeawritingdesk

ohai, i'm also hosting a server on fcraft software, this doesn't work for me either, so i'm guessing this could be an issue with the new fcraft update, you might want to ask for support on the fcraft forums.

Ah, are you also getting the same issue?

Edit: nevermind, just re-read your post. I'll try that, yeah...

But honestly, I just tried several different older versions of fCraft on SourceForge, and they all gave me the same problem. Is it even possible that it could be a global issue among all server versions?

i'll shoot H4X a private message and see if its an issue with the new client.

Sounds good.

Also, just for the record, I tried downgrading to World of Minecraft 2.0.7 and still had the same issue. It's really bizarre.

I guess it must be, though I don't understand why I downloaded and tested a bunch of older versions dating back to last year and still got the same problem.

WELL, after poking around, I found that I was able to connect to my server if I put the URL as: mc://127.0.0.1/user/hash, but it only works for me because it's the local address. I have another friend trying to get in also using World of Minecraft and he gets a "Failed to connect to the server." message.

Re: "Minecraft.net returned incomplete server details."

I've been getting the same error, and I think it's because I connected my account to mojang.com, so I have to use my email address instead of my username.

I can connect to servers on Minecraft.net just fine, just not in World of Minecraft.

I tried that before too,

I tried that before too, however my account was (and is) separate from Mojang.

This is still an ongoing issue, and people on the fCraft forums are saying it's a problem with World of Minecraft, so hopefully it gets resolved soon...

I just found the

I just found the solution.

Okay, to anyone else having the same problem, what you have to do is disable name verification in the [fCraft] server configuration, then when you go to connect to your server in World of Minecraft, you have to edit your address into a direct link so it reads: mc://ip:port/user/hash, and THEN it will connect.

I don't know why it suddenly started acting like this, and it's a bulky way of connecting to a server, but at least it works as it should now.
