Yesterdays afternoon, I decided to check up what's new. The server was active, which meant finally making my new greek home. Kudos for that.
...But as expected, a new world. Not a big deal. Until I saw what REALLY happened which will affect me for a LONG time. Everything gone.
Not cool.
I hope things will get better or at least eventually getting back what is rightfully ours.

the monkeys at the server hosting company most likely formatted the server. so all the information on the server is kaput. erased. no more. lost. same way as if you are writing in word a term paper without ever saving it and your computer dies. the paper is lost. there is no way for you to get anything back, as there is nothing to give.

Quake H4X had to get a new host as the old host didnt know how to fix the server, so EVERYTHING was lost, map and all so expect for everything to be lost. its out of snow's and H4X's hands and they are doing everything to get the server back up working 100%. Now if you do have a problem with it, leave.

Quake, honestly, right now you're only being a pain in the ass to all Staff members, not just MrSnowGlobe.
He doesn't "want" you to leave intentionally, this just his reaction to the crap he has been receiving from all members regarding the server (*hint* ssfdre *hint*). I talk with MrSnowGlobe quite often, sometimes privately on Skype too. Do you know what he talks to me about 90% of the time? The server. He, and the World of Minecraft team all care about the welfare of the players and their experience with World of Minecraft to extraordinary levels, which is, in my opinion, beyond what many other communities offer to their memberbase.
The only thing you're doing is adding to the load he has to deal with. I'm very, very active on IRC and the only thing I see other than the occasional advertiser is you people from the SMP/PVP servers complaining about such and such (and often violating some rules, to the annoyance of the mods). I really don't see how you people can be so narrow-minded to the point where your stupidity blinds you and makes you forget about the effort the Staff put in.
I'm absolutely sure that you've lost way less than what most of the older members have. I spent at least a year on Realms just on my projects. What happened to them?

Compared to what I have lost over 2 and a half years of World of Minecraft membership, the lost of about 2-3 months of playtime on SMP/PVP just pales in comparison, and yet, I'm not sitting here, making threads/posts having a cry about losing absolutely everything because of an accidental server reformat.
So Quake, turn off the computer, go sit outside on the patio/balcony and have a think about how stupid you've been over the past few days because all of your actions as of late has just made the World of Minecraft community picture you as:
