the use of bows and arrow in expensive and hard to construct allthough a long range wepon it is still required to first constuct arrows with uses a  highly valued resource, "iron".  Yet we have littel use for gold, flint, sand, and gunpowder. There could and should be more uses for these elements for defence porposes such as bullets, bolts, crossbows, guns, floor or wallspikes the possobiltiys are endless. i would like to see trap doors and cross bows and spikes defently in the futrue. but as i said the possabilties are endless and its Notches decision to and these entiteis or not. a few on thing things i would like are here and would you guys find these useful in the game is the question. if you guy wouldd post your ideas of defence here and mabey go post theme on the modrateor page. maintian23 =3 =3 =3

My ideas

One, make arrows interact with tnt.
The reasoning, In one of my many mountaintop retreats the only way to get to it is a single bridge that is one wide and like 20 off the ground.  And then up a really narrow external ladder, I hide tnt in the walls in pockets of about 5 and the only way you see it is if you turn around and know where it is, you cant see it from the attacking side, and if you set it off and run you have blocked and forms of getting in because it sets of the other 3 pockets.  The idea behind making the tnt interact with arrows is so you can do stuff like this from a distance.
Two, although not going to happen and may be a dumb idea, I think its funny, Instead of spike pits how about snake pits : )

Three, make a "drain" tile that when used with a lever or button, it lets water/lava/milk flow through and drown/burn/give the persona plate of cookies to enjoy with the flood of milk.
