Hey folks,
In an effort to improve the way our warps system works we're adding some new stuff.

The big one is private warps.

Private warps are only accessible to staff and the users that the owner of the warp grants access to.
In addition to our existing public warp option they are available for $300k

What can you do with a privatewarp ?

As a private warp owner you can grant access to your warp with /warpgrant <warpname> <player>

Only players who you have granted access can use your warp.

You can also check if an online player has access to your warp with /warpcheck <warpname> <player> (Currently this is still a little buggy with offline players)

And if you don't want someone having access to your warp anymore you can remove their permission to use it with /warprevoke <warpname> <player>

Be aware that private warps fall under the area rules and if the warp owner or designated area managers ask you to leave please do so. =]

Using /warp without a specified warp will list all the warps that you have access to.

Finally as some of our staff are participating in survival we ask that you do not pay them as they create the warp. The warp creation commands will now automatically remove the required money from your account. =]

Hey folks,
Some changes to the way that warps work to help promote towns and places with warps.

Relocating

I may have just not seen it, but if the town expands or we find that another location in town to be more advantageous to warp access, can we move the warp? I get that we bought the warp for that town so it would have to stay within it, but is it free, a fee, or full price as if buying a new warp? Also, will we be able to move private warps ourselves since we can place them ourselves?

Damn, nice questions

For the moment you still need a staff member to place them
(There are some scripting checks that I need to work in to prevent Issues)

I hadn't thought about moving warps, I'd say free to get a moved within reason (As long as it's not happenning all the time)

Though we'll have to come up with some official policy on it since I can already see some issues arising with that one...

I'll bring it to the staff team and update the main post when we have something official on it.

Nice. I was wondering if this

Nice. I was wondering if this was going to become an option. However...300,000? So expensive! /ugh. Better start saving again.

Making public?

What if you're working on something that lots of people will need to help make, so you buy a private warp but then once the thing is built, you want a public warp? Do you need to buy another warp for $200k, or could something happen like once the warp is public you get refunded around $100k? (I do like the private warps idea, though!
