basically this is just a simple poll to see how many of you want a new World of Minecraft smp map when 1.9 is released, the way it works is if you do want a new map vote up this topic, but if you dont want a new map vote down this topic.
this is not an official poll but it would be a good indicator to the staff on what the public wants
i guess its not so much as the maps size or how crowded it is but more the fact that it is a map that was created around the time of 1.7 witch was a long time ago and since then new terrain features have been added or edited like strongholds and abandoned mines not to mention the fact that current npc villages do not spawn npc's (testificates),also there are large numbers of structures that have fallen into disrepare causing them to become an eyesore.

Why do we need a new map for? The map is unlimited. All you have to do is walk 10-20 mins to find a new nice clean area to build in.
I need more than, "because we do", if you can make it legit, I'll put up an official poll.

Although the map is unlimited, new players join and have quite a ways to travel before finding an area that hasn't been used. Materials run out and If they want to get to a newly generated area they have an extremely long walk to take. Since 1.9 has NPC's and tweaks to the terrain generator, it would be a much better idea to create an all new map instead of just allowing new chunks to be 1.9.

First of all. We aren't running 1.9 yet, we will only upgrade when the release is official from minecraft and not a pre-release.
As for the new map, it means everyone loses there current builds. We will hold an official vote when we are ready and have upgraded to 1.9+.
