Locked due to repeated bumping.

Okay, I'm trying to install a mod for my friend who plays minecraft. The mod didn't work, so i figured i'd start from scratch, also tried installing Forge ModLoader, that didn't install correctly either. I followed every step to the T and i got nothing. so... deleted .minecraft from the appdata folder and redownloaded and reinstalled the game. when i installed it, it downloaded the necessary files to make the game run. I go BACK to the .minecraft folder, there is no bin folder. He DOES own the game and i did all the suggestions in the forums, like creating a new world, and playing for a while. I go BACK TO THE FREAKIN .minecraft folder, STILL NO BIN. What's going on guys...I've searched for hours and i have nothing. I have the latest java installed, and the latest flash installed. i've also tried restarting. Please, i need an expert's opinion on this one. HOW DO I GET THE BIN FOLDER BACK?!!?!?!

In .minecraft, go to the

In .minecraft, go to the versions folder then go to 1.6.1 and install mods on that jar file.
