I just got my first Mod to Minecraft and its (as you might have guessed from the forum topic) Pixelmon!
I honestly never play Minecraft on singleplayer because I find games such as Minecraft to be dull in singleplayer but I'm actually playing on singleplayer and having a blast!
The reason why I'm posting this is because what if World of Minecraft had a Pixelmon server?
It (in my mind) would be the BEST thing ever!
Just imagine it, people fighting with Pokemon and being able to trade Pokemon or find legendary Pokemon and battle Mods or Admins or select players that can reward you with a Gym Badge!
However, sadly, Pixelmon apparently does not work with any other Mod.
But, World of Minecraft has rooted out the menaces in its community and made it a community of only honest people and good unoffending players!
So, if H4X or Snow or... (I forgot there name...) could allow us to play on a server with Pixelmon It'll make my year entirely.
Also, do you think we could have a Pixelmon Server or not?

Someone could make a WoM_Fan server and if it gets popular enough they would add it to the list of servers :P

Sounds a bit like advertizing....Also, hosting servers cost money. Nice idea though, though it may not work. I'm not pretty sure, but I don't think you can put a mod inside a server. (I guess that everyone wants to join must have the mod, or there must be a giant plug-in.)
Also, the legendary pokemons won't be obtainable. (I didn't play the mod, but I guess that legendaries only appear once in the entire server.)

Jasper, Legendary Pokemon do appear more than once and thay ARE obtainable (YOU can catch a Mewtwo). I've already come across two squirtles, a charmander and a charmeleon WITHIN 1 hour of playing and two shiny pokemon (which are boss pokemon). Pixelmon also doesnt have ALL the Pokemon but those of you who are in creative and have a Pokedex which can show you which pokemon are available. Also World of Minecraft is currently using Mods that most of us dont have.

Jasper, however, is correct in saying that hosting servers does cost money, HOWEVER, I found that if you host the server YOURSELF it is completely free, but we need a volunteer. I would do it personally but for 1 week at a time have dial-up internet then good, fast internet for the next (I dont want to get into details how) and can't keep my computer running 24/7

I have always loved the ideas of WoM_FAN servers, with mods and other stuff.
But after playing so many mods that I can fight orcs on my giant battle ship on the moon while eating egg sandwhiches........ Why pixelmon?
I would personally rather see a New Tekkit, or FTB Ultimate modpack server than simply a single mod server.
Pixelmon is probably great too tho.

Hi guys. anyone know of any good pixel servers? looked some at the pixelmon comments here but found no awesome yet.

I think this would be a great idea! It would be an extra incentive to encourage new players not to hack, it creates a nice harmony of SMP and PVP with the ability to fight people's Pokemon but not eachother, and it's a super fun mod to play.
