Nice job, mods. So the idiot who recently went offline without replying to my IM asking for clarification just locked my old topic without providing enough clarification, KEEPING ME FROM BEING ABLE TO EDIT OUT MY FULL NAME >_>
So if somebody could please clarify as to what the 'right' file is, it would be much appreciated.

Yeah I have no idea what I'm doing.
Edit: I have no idea what the custom client application is. It's seeming like that provides instructions on what to do, but I've searched my hard drive for something like it, as well as this forum and I'm not getting anything. This is exceedingly frustrating; could somebody just tell me what to do?

Try putting the client on your desktop and redownloading it. Be sure to chmod minecraft-osx.sh to +x using the terminal first.
