Just so everyone knows, and because I'm tired of repeating myself on the server, Anything you build or mine on the SMP map will disappear when the map is reloaded to get rid of the corrupted areas. This is because the only way to get rid of these areas is to return the map to exactly how it was before the corruption happened. For more information, refer to this topic, http://www.worldofminecraft.com/content/smp-map-corrption-read-first-posting. I just wanted to make a seperate topic reitterating the fact that anything you build or mine there now will be lost in the refresh. Also, as Lunick stated, this does not mean griefing is allowed on SMP, and any form of griefing or looting will still result in a ban from the server.
I suggest you play on the pvp map for the time being, and find a safe place to mine. :D

I have been mining ever since the server was updated, does that mean that all the diamonds, gold and iron I found will be gone too? (They are in a chest)

It won't be gone when theres new map the old map will be save and keep items in it

bwinb, you need to leave this stuff to staff, you don't know what your even commenting on. You may end up losing the items, as the old map (possibly chests or anything placed) could be replaced with it. I would have to ask snow or lunick to make sure though.

Inventories should not be effected but anything like chest or possibly ender chest will be.

Random, you don't understand how annoying it is, that you all KEEP asking the SAME questions, over and over and over again when the information is seriously 4 COMMENTS ABOVE YOURS. There are a SLEW of entire threads that pop up EVERY SINGLE TIME the server has any sort of small issue, or even bigger issues like this one. Even when in the active topics list there are already several threads asking the same redundant questions. It's simple, take a few seconds to read (at least the thread you're commenting in) to see if the answer is already there...It's simple really
