So for all you don't know the new snapshot is now out, some noteable things about this new snapshot are the new flowers, biomes, amplifed generation, and fishing.
So here is where people talk about there opinions about this new update (Maybe screenshots of things you've done or maybe something no one knows about.)

If you are playing on fast graphics you cannot see through water or ice. Also, anyone played with the amplified biomes yet?

how to play the snapshot? or better: how to get it? why is it easy with the new launcher? i Didn't found the whole thing yet :(

I so want to play the snapshot, I'm clueless on how to load snapshots with the new launcher since I use magiclauncher.

Right under your name in the bottom left the launcher, hit Edit Profile. Then check the box that says "Enable experiemental developmental versions ("snapshots")". The where it says use version you just pick the snapshot you want. Hit save profile, and then play like normal.

thx for the description. I found it and played it a first time.
Has anybody found the clay mountains or the redwood forrest? I only discovered the Savanna plateaus, which are nice. Also the new flowers and plants are cool, and that giant mushrooms growing in the normal forrest :)
Only negative: seems, world generation takes a lot longer. Got many chunks with transparent surface (u know, where u can see the caves and mobs, but not the surface while the chunk loads). But perhaps my graca is too slow.

well its loading brad new areas but oncits loaded it will show up faster

But that about it for now... Having a look in the Inventory in creative mode there are a fare few new flowers and food stuff of chose. Now where that nice red wood forest I keep hearing about....

the ice and mesa biomes are rare biomes

So far I have noticed the new fishing, sugar cane color adapts to whatever biome it's in, the savannah biome, and the deep occean biome. Really want a canyon though.

So I gotta say Mojang is really doing amazing work with this update it's like a whole new game :)

Played a little bit just now. The only thing I don't like about it so far it the water. You can't see into it anymore & it's kinda bright.
