--Just a short rant--

So basiclly my problem(s) is the posts not placed in the correct area so it's seen on the "active topics" area. Also the stupid link posts trying to sell you crap, like this is a community mostly made up of children, why would you want to sell them "Kitchen cabinets"? And the last thing is the Youtubers who post there videos here like it's an ad wall, but contribute nothing to the community but there videos.

One last note is, I'm not trying to insult these people but just try to maybe real the "FORUM RULES"  before posting?

Feel free to tell whoever sends these spambots here to stop, because all we can do about them is delete the threads and ban the accounts :P

They won't respond, they just get deleted normally, it's still agervating that there's people like that on a Minecraft fourm.

Well of course they're not responding, they're spambots. Bots don't care if you send them messages, they're just programmed to post random advertisements on forums such as ours

I suspect that to get past our account creation process a lot of them are just poor people in third world countries.

The kitchen spam ones originate from a shady ish guy in the UK (If you trust the work of people from all the rest of the forums who have been spammed)

Calling them is pretty useless sincce they just deny everything.

It'd be nice if proof that it was them was found since then I suspect It'd be possible to revoke their domain names and such...

Otherwise we just nuke the users as soon as they pop up.
Messing up the active topics though is a big one i'm not happy with.
Usually it's ok because they create new threads but we had one recently that was a bot since it spammed a bunch of threads within a min.
Topics are messed up from that still.
We're looking into preventing that from reoccurring.

I like the threads where it's a video post, and all 15 of the comments are bumps by the OP.

There are plenty of well known programs that will spam anything you want to 1000's of forums, if you ever have a phpbb forum you will see this, World of Minecraft is just getting picked up as somewhere to spam.

There is not an actual person logging into World of Minecraft, just a bot

If that's so, the program should leave behind different traces showing different posts as coming from a similar source. No doubt the source will be encrypted, if it is found it can be neutralized.

Other then deleting the threads and banning the accounts there really isn't a way.
