A Song of Ice & Blood, or more commonly referred to as ‘ASOIAB’ is a premier Minecraft server that runs the latest stable version of ‘Craftbukkit’. The server was built around the idea that Minecraft can be made into more then just a game of legos, but an entire world never seen before with deep lore, and a rich environment. One of the best things about the server is it’s dedicated, which means it is up 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a stable ping. Though from time to time (like all technology) it can be unreliable due to the back-end being worked on, or for an update to be installed.

Based from the novels “A Song of Ice and Fire” you take the role of a man who just got a second chance. The game centers around a structure called “The Wall” in northern Westeros. It is a cold and harsh land where only the brave can survive. Players create new factions, and crumble others into rubble. Much like any medieval world the lore is shaped by the people who inhabit it. Armed with the weapons of their calling, players work their way up the food chain, eventually creating their own house (town/faction) and forming alliances (nations) and grudges (war) with opposing houses to create a brutally beautiful player ran fantasy world.

We do have a few rules to follow though. Such as buildings must fit a medieval theme, and of course the logic rule applies as well. Even if you don’t have a faction we ask that you stay within our
theme when building (more on this in the Rules page). Also trolls along with hackers and cheaters will be banned from the server indefinitely. This does not mean you can’t log on and blow
up another person’s walls to sack their keep. Wars are not unknown to the server and make for an interesting balance in events. We encourage a player ran economy/community as Notch intended. As the name suggests… it’s a kingdom of ice, and blood.
