my World of Minecraft client, multiplayer and solo (browser), alpha (exe and browser) freezes up to 45 secs on startup and at quitting

it was fine a few days ago until i updated the java...
it was 6.17 back then now 6.21

i tried deinstalling java and putting the old one back - doesnt work
i tried redownloading the mc files - no effect at all

it has something with java to do :/ (i think)

has anyone else this problem?

Well, I'm quite puzzled.

Well, I'm quite puzzled.  Have you asked your question on minecraft's official forum?

This is a dumb solution, but have you tried restarting your pc? Sometimes to fully update something you'll to restart.

It seems like re-installing your OS is the only way.
