Good Evening Everybody, I am in dire need of help as my Minecraft Career depends on it...

Does anyone out there know the best way of installing Minecraft to get it to run smoothly e.g. no crashing/ black screen/ connection failure ?

I myself have had constant crashing over the past few days since I introduced minecraft to my new computer. I have uninstalled everything Minecraft related Java to Minecraft itself allowing a 'fresh start'.

I dont understand why it doesnt work because Im running the following;

-Windows 64 bit

-Intel Core i3 - 3.3GHz

-8GB RAM

- nVidia GeForce GTX 460

-1TB Hard Drive

If anyone could point me in the right direction or suggest what they think works your help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

I'm running Minecraft on my

I'm running Minecraft on my Inspiron 1525 Vista 32 bit, 2GB RAM, and a 100GB HD. Despite the fact that it has only the latest in advance crap-ware technology, it seems to run just fine with all of the graphics options turned up to the maximum, I.E: Fancy, smooth lighting etc...

These are some of the things you should probably check:
  • Are you running any mods? If so, make sure they are installed correctly as this can result in black screens, crashing and all sorts of wild random and crazy problems.
  • If you are having connection failures, make sure that your log in details are correct, if it still does not work after this OR you have forgotten your log in details, hit the "play offline" button. You will be able to play offline like this HOWEVER you will not be able to access servers. (Also check that there is nothing wrong with your internet connection)
  • Speaking of servers, if you are having connection failures with servers, make sure:
  1. You are whitelisted
  2. You are having no problems with your internet itself
  3. You have the same version of Minecraft as that server. If you have a later version than that server supports, you will need to down-grade.

If you continue to have problems send me a private message explaining the problem in more detail and I'l see if I can diagnose the problem.
-Hope I helped!
