I started up the World of Minecraft Client, and everything was working fine, but I noticed that the text was a bit buggy and tried to resize the window to get rid of it. It's worse. Is there any way to edit the settings outside of the actual client so that it is normal size and that the text wouldn't look weird? Thanks in advance for the help.

Um..

Try opening minecraft.jar and replace default.png.

Window Size, not just text in general.

The window size is affecting the text, not the text actually being the wrong file, missing, etc. Or at least I'm pretty sure that is what you are trying to say.

Usually

closing and restarting the client will fix skewed issues.

Got this problem when I

Got this problem when I downloaded the updated client after I installed W7 (note to dev of the client, please fix the warning about the unknown OS on launch, if possible :p)

Basically, what you can do is resize the window to whatever size you want, don't worry about the offset or distortion after the resize, because if you close it and reopen it, the dimensions are remembered and the screen is re-centered and scaled accordingly. Toy around with that until you get the likable window size back
