World of Minecraft client || Mods have stopped working.

Hi, I have seen multiple topics of this kind but no solution.
The problem:
When I log on to a server, the normal functions work perfectly - however modified functions (such as super speed) simply stop working; as opposed to when I first used the client; when they worked perfectly.
My research has led me to believe that being a "spectator" has something to do with this.
Any help would be appreciated :).
