I read the instructions and set up a folder correctly, but when i use the run.bat file it says "error: failed to run minecraft" and yes minecraft.jar is in the lin folder, and yes the .jar file is named correctly. does it not work for 7? thank you.

if you type your username or password wrong AT ALL then you cant do multiplayer. it is probably too late now though.

Are you talking about using World of Minecraft for the multiplayer freebuild, or ..what? I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. To play the classic mulitplayer, or freebuild, you just unzip the folder, and run the World of Minecraft app. It'll install the 'minecraft.jar' when you click for it to.
I'm not entirely sure what it is you guys are having a problem with.

your Username/Password may be incorrect or there are no server to validate your login''

First, delete ALL of your files for World of Minecraft Client. Download the latest World of Minecraft game client, and there shouldn't be any "Run.bat" file. Hopefully that will work.
