I was using rei's minimap as well as the advanced HUD mod. that's why it looks different.
(also, if anyone knows of a free software that works better than camstudio, please let me know...)

actually alot easier 4 me, cause then i can see which way it goes when i scroll between items.
like, instead of left/right, its up/down... and my scrollwheel doesn't go sideways...
