Would a redstone example area be helpful?

I have been asked about a lot of my machines in both my current build and the one from last map. I was considering doing a kind of machine/redstone example area in CMP, whenever I want to take a break from my city, so that people can reference it to make their own or just to spark their own ideas. It would definitely include logic gate examples so people can see exactly how they work. So a couple of things:

1. Would anyone find this helpful.

2. Are there any particular machines you would like to see first.

If this won't help anyone that's fine, but I figure it can't hurt to offer. If I get a good response from people on the forum, I'll set up a request box near my city warp.

I think that the Redstone

I think that the Redstone Museum (in warp Deltacity) is meant just for the purpose you're talking about :)
Maybe you could work with the peoples of Deltacity.

(unless you're talking about huge redstone things, in wich case it wont be helpfull)

Yes. I would love a nice 3x3 or 5x5 door example. Every time I try to make them the redstone gets very large and therefore hard to hide.

I'm happy to contribute some things i think people will find useful.

I've seen the redstone museam, not sure that it will fit all the things that could be shown, might need some expansion if that's where we put things.

I was thinking along the same

I was thinking along the same line as spuds. Its much easier to expand and build examples of things quickly in CMP with unlimited space and resources. The redstone museum is great, but it would be hard to adapt to constant requests and would be a pain to maintain after each update. Its just easier in my opinion to do the kind of examples on demand build I am talking about in CMP. Especially since in CMP I dont have to go find/collect each block I need to use.

Depending on the success of nexus i'm not sure how long CMP will be around,
But I'd suggest doing it in smp anyway, makes it more accessible to people anyway.

To expand on this idea you could always just make videos of redstone requests? Then maybe somewhere on the fourm we have a feedback for the redstone and where someone can find something they're looking for or maybe looking for insperation. It's cleaner and easier in my opinion.

That would work fishtown, but

That would work fishtown, but I still think I would do the recording in our nexus/CMP area so that if someone comes up with a better/different/more compact way they can buid it next to it for comparison.
