if any of you guys out there are new to WoM:Realms, here are a few tips.
1. PURPLE is staff.
2 you have your own realm, just type /home.
3. to start off, you need to type /member EMAIL ADDRESS, it will give you a code, then go to www.womrealms.com and type in your email address and the code.
4. you then will be given an email which you need to check within 12 hours.
5. DO NOT, insult people, use capital letters, spam (continuious posting or letters) and only speak english.
6. we do not rank you, if you see people with different colours to you type /ranks.
7. to rank up you need to build.
8. When you have gotten a certain amount of rep, you can upgrade to the next rank.

If you want I can improve on this.

5. Staff do not rank you, you rank by building in Realms and going to the website (womrealms.com) and ranking up when you have enough reputation.
6. Other Rules;
-Do Not Insult other People
-Do Not Type in all Uppercase
-Do Not Spam the Chat
-English only in Global Chat

where do you type /member EMAIL ADDRESS? whenever i try to connect to the WoM server i keep getting the "connection lost error invalid user"

This may seem like a stupid question, but how does one log onto a WoM realm? I just joined the site and can't find any info on a server to join(that doesn't say i need to be white-listed)

It is a classic server so it will be in the server list, or you can download the WoM Client and it will be in the list on that too.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong here, but I don't see any info on the classic server, I have the info for the survival server but it won't let me log on saying that I am not "White-Listed".

You have to be Surveyor rank or higher in Realms before you become white-listed on SMP

you need to be playing on minecraft classic, not smp/beta
you can download the WoM client for classic here: http://www.worldofminecraft.com/Game_Client
when you start it up and log in, you will get a server list, the one that says WoM:Realms is the official WoM classic server, if you rank up to surveyor rank on that server, you can join the WoM smp server
basically, to rank up, you need to build as you get reputation points for each block that you place, and after you get enough rep to reach each milestone, you can rank up to the next rank

Once you download the client, it is ready to go.
When you log in, it should display a server list of all of the minecraft classic servers, you can choose WoM:Realms from that. It is when you actually get onto the WoM:Realms server that you want to type "/member [e-mail address]"
Or you could choose any server out there (if it looks like it has frozen, sometimes servers can take a minute to load).
So yeah, you do not need to download any updates, patches, or mods to make the client work.

Ah ok. Thanks jak, so, why would my list for connections be empty? It has been since I got the game.

On the full version, it never has servers on that list, that is only when you use the "Add Server" button, it acts as a favourites list.
For the full version you need to have the ip of the server that you are trying to join, which can normally be found on the website of the server if it has one.
I thought that you meant in classic mode on the WoM client, in which case there should be a server list. And the /member thing is for when you join the WoM classic server.

When it says any command with a / in it, you NEED to type it, or you'll fail.

It is a classic server and you just need to search for WoM:Realms on the server list, although the login for the server seems to be broken at the moment, so you may want to try again later/tomorrow (depending on what time it is for you now)
