Getting Trusted has nothing to do with how long they've been on the server? There are tons of people who have been here for a year or more that don't have it. Players are picked to be trusted whenever staff decides that more trusted players are needed, and these trusted people are picked because they are friendly, respectable members of the community, whom staff deem deserve it and who may potentially make good mods in the future. They could have been on the server for two weeks, or three years. It does not matter.
To prove my point,
How do I become a Staff member on the World of Minecraft:Realms server?
To become a World of Minecraft Staff member you must be chosen by the staff board.
Generally we only choose members who have been active on the server for a minimum of 2 weeks and actively help the community.
See? Two weeks. :P

I've stuck around for at least 2 years now, and all I have to show for it is +voice on IRC. Am I complaining about not having a staff rank or anything related to it? No.
Jox is the oldest member on World of Minecraft, he's got nothing other than a Donator badge. Is he complaining? No.
FiXeroN is probably one of the best builders on World of Minecraft (in my own opinion). He only has +voice. Is he complaining? No.
As you can see, there are people who've been here for way longer than you, and probably longer than most of the staff/trusted currently on SMP/PVP, but, we're not complaining about not having any of that power, nor are we saying that it is unfair for us. As Jupiter previously noted:

I think if you ask for trusted there is probaley a 90% chance you won't get it soon.

being trusted is not a reward for being on the server a set amount of time. Instead it is for mature helpful people that actually want to help others.You get trusted status because you deserve it anbd have been noticed in a good way by the staff. iused is getting noticed lately too and shows exactly why trusted is not given out willy nilly to people.

My post from way back when has got very busy. I still love this community some really great people on here I have made many new friends since I started playing on this server. Just looking forward to getting back at playing on the server when it comes back up.
Also I seen somewhere not to ask for being trusted and staff or you will not get it.
