I've recently started trying to install the World of Minecraft mod for minecraft. I tried following the tutorial (I have a mac), but I got the following error message after asking if I'd like to install a copy of minecraft.jar:

I had the same problem also. I just tried it again and it worked. Now, I am stuck on a screen that says Your Maps:

Two things:
Change the permissions using chmod
or
Default location installation:
- Open Terminal
- rm -rf /Applications/World of Minecraft.app/Contents/Resources/Java/lib/minecraft*
- cd /Applications/World of Minecraft.app/Contents/MacOS
- sudo ./JavaApplicationStub
- Enter password for admin privs
- It will prompt to download minecraft.jar
- Enter minecraft.net username\password into client
- Click Sign In.
If you have it installed it a different location please adjust appropriately.
You then can quit the application and run from normal location.
If this doesn't work for you, please let me know the error, also make sure to remove important data out of it, such as password so other users don't see it when you paste it here.

i click sighn in and all it does is say that my username/password is incorrect and im putting in the right info PLZ HELP!

i have a similar message when im trying to download the minecraft.jar, i have a pc however, and ive never had issues with the World of Minecraft client before =/ ive tried reinstalling it multiple times with no difference and ive never had issues with it until the latest update, i even tried manually downloading and putting the jar file in but it still wont open =/

The World of Minecraft login boots up fine for me, but when I try to sign in it shows:
"Your username/password may be incorrect or there are no servers to validate your login"
I saw the previous threads dealing with the issue, but my username/password IS correct.. I also tried making a new account just to test and I got the same results.
Is this a Mac issue? Or is it just World of Minecraft?

Yep I'm getting the same problem. I don't really understand it at all. I'm usually quite good at figuring out these kinds of problems, but, All has failed. So I'm trying to tell you you're not alone. However, i want someone to help us on this subject so I'm replying to the current conversation. I want some attention to come to this. To see if someone has figured it out. :P

Are you using minecraft.net username\password?

I was having no issues until I updated to 1.9....:/ Now I cant get past the login. Can I go back to 1.8?

upgraded to 2.0.5 today and since then I can't use hacks I instead get the message in the subject of this comment up by the enable hacks checkbox. Some on chat are telling me I have been banned. That makes no sense to me. I have been a member for 2 1/2 weeks, have not participated in chat, have not griefed, have only gone to my realm and build as well as building on /realm youareadevil freebuild and /realm deadlypixel69 freebuild. There are plenty of other like complaints in the chat on womrealms so I know I'm not alone in this.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses it for stress relief. However; it sounds like you are just using an old client.
Have your tried updating to 2.0.5?
Otherwise try debugging it for more errors:

I definitely am on 2.0.5. I run World of Minecraft via a dropbox shared folder so I am executing the same version @ home as I am at work.

When i try to run 2.0.5, i get the missing file warning at click download and I get that same message, except instead of the World Of Minecraft part, i get World of Minecraft Game Client. I use OSX, if that makes any difference.

We all have parental controls turned on, and we cannot write to home directory. I got the message you are not permitted to use this software and immediately associated it with parental controls.

1. Go open your application
2.RIGHT CLICK on World of Minecraft and DONT open it instead, do show contents.
3. Go explore in it until you find boot.jar
4. i think after that its says do u want to open it.
5. say yes
6. yay there is ur login

im having a problem at the server page,as soon as i start to type in server i want it seems to freeze. When this first started to happen i would wait for it and after about 5 minutes the server name would appear. But now it don't show up at all. I have tried everything.

Hey guys, I'm new to Minecraft and just logged in. Every time I tried to go a server (doesn't matter which one), a note popped up that said it "Failed to start Minecraft...Could not create context". The window turns all white, and I can't see what's going on in the server. I'm not sure about what to do.

Ok, so I am having a problem with this. I TRY to sign in to World of Minecraft and i put in the right info, as in right user and pass, then i click the sign in button and it says "Unable to authenticate
Username or password is incorrect.
And or there are no servers to verify your account.
Or something like that. and i have no idea what to do. HELP MEH

Ok sorry. I am not sure if there is necro-posting rules here but either way. Is there anyone that knows how to fix this? I personally op a server and World of Minecraft would help but I have the "Authentication Error" problem. Any attempt at helping me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

So i was having this problem too but then I realized what would happen if I opened it via the Applications folder so... I tried doing that and guess what? IT WORKED

If it's any help, the World of Minecraft client is currently installed on my desktop, as I am not able to download directly into my applications folder (my computer has these restrictions for security reasons and cannot be waived).
