I  constantly get this error while I try to use the client. I have successfully ran the client twice before, once while I tried a newly generated map, and once while I tried a World of Minecraft server. After the World of Minecraft server, it stopped responding and I get this article, I thought it could be something mentioned in here http://www.worldofminecraft.com/OpenGLError, it helped with the error (I originally had the topic error, but got the one mentioned in that link for whatever reason) I tried looking for an answer on this forum, but I couldn't find any topics with it in it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

;)

Also, here is a picture of the CMD (Command prompt) window while I try to run the client.

Thanks again.

It is starting from Java's

It is starting from Java's JDK, not from the JRE(Java Runtime Environment). Update Java and then,  in your run.bat, change the line where it says

Quote:
set JAVA6="auto"

to

Quote:
set JAVA6="whatever your location is (usually C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe)"

OK, so...Update JDK? or JRE?

OK, so...Update JDK? or JRE? You kind of confused me..Because you said that it starts from JDK and not from JRE, but in the path you specified, it says JRE6, and not JDK...So..I'm kind of confused...

So I updated my java, it

So I updated my java, it didn't help any. I still get that error....I changed the path, still didn't work, I verified that the path you mentioned was there, it was, changed it to that, it still isn't working..

If someone could, look at that picture I posted, I think that could give you the most information possible.

New information: It works

New information: It works until I get passed the server select screen. After that it just stops and repeatedly shows that picture with those errors...Someone please help me out...This is bugging me so bad...

It also says: Attempting to use default windows plug-in
Then stops, that's only when I choose a server though...

I did that, that was the next

I did that, that was the next thing I tried, it still isn't working..I tried the following:

Uninstalling all java from my computer and re-installing the newest versions of JDK and JRE.
The link you posted,
Tried hacks I found on youtube
And probably a lot more...I just can't find a fix...like I said, it worked once, and only once, then it stopped, this is very annoying....

I tried that for the web

I tried that for the web client, it didn't work any.

And as for the client, I'm not getting an out of memory error, I'm getting that invalid value error...I don't understand...

So does anyone in existence

So does anyone in existence have a fix for this, or am I up the creek without a paddle?

I HAVE FOUND A FIX. Well,

I HAVE FOUND A FIX.

Well, actually, Assassinx has found one:

http://www.worldofminecraft.com/node/2784#comment-8741

This worked for me, and I hope it works for others who stumble upon this thread from Google. Thank you SOOOOOOO much Assassinx.

I'll copy and paste his post to save others some time, if the mods don't mind:

"I Quote: MEh

Run>regedit>HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>JavaSoft>Prefs>minecraft

Edit the height and width values. It should work.

Width should be more then height..

Eg. Height = 500  therefore width should be 600 or 700

Hope this helped."
